Hi,
Does anyone know the best way of setting up windows firewall on server 2008 R2 ? My VPS provider sent the following advice:
As you are only running Meta Trader from your VPS, I would advise that you only leave the inbound ports open for RDP access (3389) and the ports used by the Meta Trader software (please find this information through the software provider).I would also advise you to run regular virus and malware scanners to clean up computers that connect to the VPS.
Finally, I would advise that you set a strong password between 8-10 characters with both lower, upper case characters and numbers.
I'm not sure how to get the best out of the firewall, and avoid slowing the MT4 network connections (as in the article below):
