Do indicators run in its own thread?

Noob question,but useful. Do EAs and indicators run in its own thread?

Ea's and Scripts run in their own thread. Indicators do not. They share the same thread as the chart they are running in.

Strictly speaking, from what I've seen, each separate tick in an EA runs in its own disposable thread. An EA doesn't seem to have a constant thread throughout its lifetime.

And being on different threads allows separate memory space, so delegating frequently repeated &/or complex calculations to an indi can speed up the EA
