MT4 won't execute a trailing stop when the software is not running. I don't like running the software all the time - I'm a Newbie Swing Trader.
For example if I put in a separate Buy Stop order and that order gets executed while the program is closed, won't the trailing buy stop order get executed when I run the software if the current price is above the trailing stop price? So then I end up with a Buy lot that I didn't want to have a position on right?
If that is true is there anyway to make a Buy Stop cancel a Trailing Stop and vice versa?
Also, my ISP blocks the standard SMTP port. Is there no way to change the port MT4 uses for e-mail?
