Position sizing is one of the basic elements of risk management in manual trading.
Using the same lot size for every trade does not necessarily mean taking the same risk. Different instruments, Stop Loss distances and symbol specifications can produce very different monetary risks.
A more structured approach is to decide how much risk you are prepared to take first and then calculate the appropriate position size.
LotPilot was created to simplify this process in MetaTrader 5.
Instead of performing the position size calculation manually before each trade, the trader enters the required risk parameters and receives the calculated lot size.
The workflow is simple:
1. Define your risk.
2. Set the required trade parameters.
3. Calculate the lot size.
4. Use the calculated position size when placing the trade.
LotPilot does not generate signals and does not decide when to buy or sell. It is designed as a supporting tool for traders who make their own trading decisions but want a faster and more consistent method of position sizing.
