I am an Academic Researcher and a Ph.D. candidate in Finance at Eskisehir Osmangazi University in Turkey and my focus is on the impact of earnings announcements on the stocks' market risk using high-frequency data. Besides writing my Ph.D.thesis, I also trade currency pairs. I have published two book chapters in cooperation with my professor at Springer about jumps in stock prices and forecasting volatility in stock prices. My first book chapter is "Jumps and Earnings Announcement: Empirical Evidence from An Emerging Market Using High-Frequency Data" and my second book chapter is "Forecasting Emerging Market Volatility in Crisis Period: Comparing Traditional GARCH with High-Frequency Based Models". The main reason behind my forex trading is to make extra income for my living and to prove that I am not only good at theoretical finance but also at imperial finance. I also develop Expert advisors for my tradings. Money management, Self-discipline, and well-enough knowledge of forex techniques are the secret behind my success.
