P.S. I trade the market opportunities, I do not trade the return however the weekly opportunities are more than enough to meet the return target at a consistent operator mark of 6 and above.
So the only focus is increasing the operator mark and consistently keeping it at a high level, returns flow from this.
Operator mark for the week: 6 out of 10. I think we had a good week. Most errors have been eliminated and we are suffering minimal drawdown.
Next week my eye will be firmly on the 15% weekly minimal target with a daily loss limit of 2%.
Don't worry about missing the down move because I closed the short. There will be plenty of up and down moves to profit from next...

Capital protection is the number 1 priority. Profits naturally flow from capital protection. Capital protection is the overwhelming priority and comes before returns. Provided we are not losing capital and producing a little return, the larger returns will eventually come. I advise you to make your primary focus on capital protection. Trading and following a signal is much easier when we do not have to suffer from huge drawdowns that last for days or weeks.

Price is beginning to indicate the market top is approaching. I'm expecting a spike higher to form today's top and I will try to get a short to hold for the remainder of the day. This scenario is obviously not 100% but the probability is quite high. If price retraces low before the spike, I will look for a long from lower levels.
Closed short trade no. 5 for 1.5 pips. There is an argument that the price could reverse upwards here or fall to 2670. It is a 50/50 job so I will wait for price clarity before entering additional trades.
I started off with 2 small losses on the short side. It was clear price was going down. The short entries were fine but price spiked 5 pips higher and took our tight stop-loss out. The 3rd short was enter and I allowed it to run and closed it to bring us back into profits for the day. The 4th short is in profit and the stop-loss has been moved to break-even + 2 pips.
I have a clear scenario in mind for today's price action and so far it is playing out according to the plan. I will not...
Fed Chairman - Please note: the GBPUSD spike up could easily have been a spike down and we used a very tight stop-loss so don't feel sad because I closed the long. We don't gamble, we trade probability. News trading is a 50/50 game.
The Fed Chairman is speaking in 5 minutes so I had to close the long sooner than I had hoped. No more trades today.
We made a return again. You already know we should have earned more. We sold the first top with a 1 pip stop-loss but my long bias meant we didn't maximize the return. We bought the bottom but I fiddled with it so did not maximize the return and we sold the 2nd top and we maximized the return from that position.
It should be clear that as soon as all things line up we'll...
Even though we went short at the high of the day with a 1 pip stop-loss and close for a few pips, the price has since moved lower still. I decided to close the short before the profit target had been reached simply because it was a new high so increased the probability of an upward breakout. Consequently, buying at a lower price is the ideal action given the current price structure.
