To those who ask, of course I use Wim's prop settings files on prop accounts. You just need to adjust for the particular max and daily DD, set randomisation, change the comment and magic number.

That's no guarantee you won't get shafted for copying by prop firms. There are plenty of shifty ones that will still claim you are copying.

Good gains today from gold. Big jump on prop accounts. I checked my 5k TCT account and it looked close to the target, but trades were disabled, which was worrying. I raised a ticket and was told I had hit target and that is why trading was disabled. A nice surprise.

I feel like there's no point bothering with other prop firms, at least for now. However, I still have other accounts making gains so I will see them through and see if they pay out.

My review of The Gold Reaper. (Apparently, it is not displaying for others.)

I am no expert, but I was just asked how long it takes me to pass prop challenges with a particular EA so I thought I would share it here. I have found it varies depending on a number of things, which seem to be the strategy of the EA, size of the account, the particular settings on the EA, and the market conditions.

I have a small TCT account ($750) which hit the target twice in the first week and scaled up to about $1687.50, However, since 1 April there has been no change. Another 5k TCT account I set up last week was up over 1% within a few days. Sometimes you are lucky to catch the moves, other times you have to wait. EDIT 24 April 2024: After about a week, that EA hit target of 5%.

Well, I'm approaching my first payout from a prop firm, and now they are saying I look like I am copying. A friend went through the same thing with them, addressing all the trades in question, but without any positive results.

So far, TCT is the only firm I have confidence in.

A big day for Gold last week. My new 5k TCT prop account jumped up 1%. Unfortunately, it was due to sad events.

The existing smaller account did nothing. I'm glad I got this new one.

I got my trade copier set up. Very smooth. I chose to get the dedicated environment for extra protection, so I'm not sharing an IP address with others.

I'm finding my account with The Concept Trading running The Gold Reaper is not picking up trades when larger accounts do, probably due to the smaller size. I had great gains on a 100k and 6k prop account last Friday, but nothing on TCT (currently about 1.7K) and a live account (about 1.4k). I'm going to get a bigger challenge with TCT, at least 5k. That will also allow me to add Gold Trade Pro and Daytrade Pro Algo.

I've been concerned by all the stories of people getting accused of copy trading who use the same EAs as me. I have been advised to use a copier that differentiates the trades from others using the same EAs.

In addition, I have had four 100k prop accounts plagued by crashing charts that close out the trades at a loss. All the VPS provider could say was that demand spiked and they couldn't handle it. I have left two of them running. One has finally recovered from losses and passed stage 1. I will set up a copier from a master demo to the prop accounts. That should fix things.

I am going to set up Traders Connect to copy my trades. I have heard great things about this service, Hopefully, it will solve my problems.
