Middle East conflict escalation brought huge volatility to the XAUUSD. I do not want to use this as an excuse. I'm the operator and there is always a way to trade better, but we are human and sometimes we don't see the markets as they are. However, this is my strategy and I did what was necessary to protect the capital, I had to cut the loss which ended at -14 % for October so far. Which I see now as a good decision because XAU fired up another 300 pips. This is the market and these unexpected situations are part of it capital protection is the most important to stay in the markets for the long run. Regarding the question if you should stay in the signal. It's something you must answer to yourself. This might help you - Look at my history, I have had some bad months every year, and this was the first bad month of this year. Unfortunately for you, you joined at the peak of my equity curve before the loss. So for you, it's -20% as you say. For me and those who follow me for a few months, it means that our profit in the last 3 months is smaller but still profitable. What I will do now? I will definitely not try to gamble for the sake of covering the loss back. I will continue the trading, as usual, employing the Algos and my manual trading. How long it will take to recover the loss for you? I can't say the time. The only thing I know for sure is that I will manage the risk and continue doing what I was doing for the past 4 years. Answer to followers review /question Ayda Fakhrawi 2023.10.16 22:05 Hi Davide. I Have a question, why are the current gold positions set at the TP option at a loss. TP is higher than the price at selling the gold so it will eventually all close at a lost regardless even if the signal is going down! Hi Ayda, it is a basket TP the top position from 1929 is covering the loss of those which been entered on the lower prices. Overall all TPs are slightly below our average basket entry price. Although some positions will be closed at loss overall it will be decent profit. Normally I would hold for the longer profit, but in this situation when in the middle east can war conflict escalate. I will rather close when we are close to break even / slight profit. Focusing on capital protection first.

Current week is a NFP week, first week of last quarter and as well after such big movement its in the cosolidation so its low probability trading conditions.
