What is a trading order?

A trading order is an instruction that an investor or trader gives to a broker to buy or sell a financial asset (such as stocks or currency) on an exchange. The order includes key parameters: the type of operation (buy/sell), the name of the asset, its quantity, the price, and execution conditions. The main types of orders include market orders (executed immediately at the current price), limit orders (executed only at a specified price or better), and stop orders (activated when the price reaches a certain level, for example, to limit losses).
