Osloma Gold v2.4 Update: I have updated Osloma Gold to v2.4 to patch a minor logic-flow issue related to the WeekendGuard time filter.

I understand this update follows another release that was made just a day ago, but this fix was necessary to keep the EA running properly and safely.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. I truly appreciate it.

As suggested by some of the users, I am currently testing a Loss Recovery Module for Osloma Gold. On the backtest, the module considerably improves loss recovery time and also improves overall profitability. With max basket loss set to $100 (instead of previous $150) for every 0.01 lot, the average loss recovery time improved from 19 days to 10 days with the Recovery Module turned ON.

I am planning to incorporate this option into the next update of Osloma Gold.

Hello everyone,

I have updated Osloma Gold to v2.3 and added a new High Impact News Filter that references the MT5 internal news calendar.

There is no change to the core logic of the EA. The core trading logic remains the same as it was in v2.0. The new High Impact News Filter simply blocks new baskets 45 minutes before and 45 minutes after a high-impact news event, based on the calendar time.

You can choose to enable or disable this feature from the inputs. Many users in the group recommended adding this option, so I hope it will help make the EA safer and more stable for the long run.

While using the EA, if you encounter any issue or bug, please share it with me through a private message so I can review it, rectify it, and continue improving the EA.

Cheers, and have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Osloma Gold live signal account as seen on Daily chart for the month of May, 2026. It did miss entries in few days but overall, you can get an idea about the trade frequency is delivers from here.

In a grid-based trading system, the main idea is to increase the probability of closing a basket in profit by adding positions when the market moves against the original entry. This naturally creates a high win-rate structure, because the system is not trying to win only from the first entry. It is trying to recover through multiple entries and exit the basket at a better average price.

But this also comes with a very important tradeoff.

To maintain that high win rate, the system usually needs wider room to breathe. That means a wider stoploss, larger floating drawdown, and bigger temporary exposure. In simple words, the system survives by allowing the market more space before accepting a loss.

The hope is that the stoploss is rarely hit. And even if it is hit once in a while, the high win rate and accumulated profitable baskets should be able to recover that loss over time and still keep the system profitable in the long run.

However, when we try to reduce the stop width and reduce exposure while keeping the same grid logic, the win rate will naturally decrease. The system will have less room to recover, more baskets may close in loss, and the main purpose of the grid gradually becomes weaker.

This is the reality of almost every trading system:

If we want a higher win rate, we usually need to accept higher exposure.

If we want lower exposure, we usually need to accept a lower win rate.

There is no magic setting that gives maximum win rate with minimum risk at the same time. Every system is a balance between risk, recovery space, win rate, and long-term stability.

This is why I believe different users need different risk models. Some traders are comfortable with a wider grid and more recovery room. I receive messages from users asking whether they can expand the grid or even remove the stoploss completely. At the same time, I also receive messages from users who want the opposite — they want to remove the grid, reduce the stop size, and keep the exposure much smaller.

Both types of users are looking at risk differently.

So, I am thinking of adding flexible risk-mode options in Osloma Gold:

One option for users who want to remove or reduce the grid and use a smaller stoploss.

Another option for users who want to expand the grid and allow more recovery room.

This way, the EA can better match different risk tolerances instead of forcing every user into the same risk structure.

My goal is not just to create a system with a high win rate. My goal is to keep improving OG so that users can choose a risk model that fits their own trading style, account size, and comfort level.

Please be assured, I am constantly working on all possible improvements to Osloma Gold. I keep studying the logic, the risk structure, the grid behavior, and user feedback so that OG can continue to become more flexible, safer, and more practical over time.

I am testing a BTC mode live for Osloma Gold right now. It looks promising. I plan to add it in the new version update, which may come very soon.

The Osloma Prime model (the Single-Entry model with $50 risk per 0.01 Gold lot) that I talked about here earlier had a 1 stoploss event in the past 1 year as raw signal.

In my quest to handle that stoploss using only price action based exit model, I have adopted a multi-timeframe multiple price level exit structure and the stoploss trade is now exited with a small loss. This model avoided the stoploss but since the system has now accepted small losses instead of waiting for a breakeven price or a profit, the overall profitability as well as win rate has reduced to a great extend (profit seem more in the backtest as I am using compounding lot size over 1.5 years). But of course, the shock of a sudden stoploss hit and trauma it carries is managed, at least historically.

But the question is, is it better to just allow the stoploss event to happen, as we have seen from the past data that even though it happened, the system will somehow managed to recover from it? Or shall we adopt the shock-free less profitable system?

And will this new system be able to avoid any stoploss event in the future?

I think the answer lies in the way each of us perceive risk and reward and it can be different for different people.

For now, I am testing the shock free model with a very aggressive risk model and I will share updates regarding the same as we go on.

Hello, everyone I am updating Osloma Gold to v2.0. Here are some of the updates I am brining.

• AutoLot Settings Removed
AutoLot settings have been removed because they were creating confusion and could lead to higher-than-expected risk exposure. The EA now keeps only two lot-sizing models: Fixed Lot and Percentage Equity.

• Added MaxDD % of Equity for Fixed Lot
A new protection setting has been added: MaxDD on % of Equity for Fixed Lot. This overrides the fixed lot size when needed, helping prevent the selected lot size from creating a larger-than-expected basket risk.

• Primary Signal Removed
The Primary Signal has been completely removed. I believe it was too aggressive in terms of entries and could increase the chances of a basket stoploss event.

• Added New OC Signal
A new signal called OC Signal has been added. This is a signal I have already been testing live, and its live performance can be checked on my MQL5 profile under Osloma Crown.
The OC Signal uses the same entry zone as the previous Primary Signal but has a more conservative entry level and an improved grid entry system.

• Added Skip Session Hour Settings
Skip Session Hour settings have been added so users can choose specific session-opening hours they want the EA to avoid trading.

• Improved Overnight Protection
An improved version of the Overnight Protection module has been added and is now enabled by default.

• Added Basket Timeout Module
A Basket Timeout module has been added. This allows the EA to attempt an exit from bad trade baskets at minimal profit or breakeven, instead of allowing them to remain open for too long.

• Added 1-Day Cooldown After Basket Stoploss
A cooldown period of 1 day has been added after any basket stoploss event, helping reduce immediate re-entry risk after a bad market condition.

• OC & GT Grid Distance Added as User Input
Grid Distance for both OC and GT signal has been added as user input, with default settings set for optimum performance.

Hello everyone,

Today, a trade was generated on some brokers/accounts. It went overnight, and unfortunately, the basket stop was hit.

I sincerely share the pain with everyone, and for the past several hours, I have been trying to evaluate:

(A) Why it was triggered only on some brokers/accounts, and
(B) How such a stoploss event can be avoided or at least reduced the possibility of its occurrence as much as possible, in the future.

I have been running different tests with several variations of the core logic, and I believe that the aggressiveness of the Primary Signal, in my effort to bring better trade frequency, was one of the major issues.

Therefore, I may drop the Primary Signal altogether until I come up with a better variation. Instead, I am planning to add the signal from Osloma Crown, which I personally believe is much more robust and reliable.

If there is anything you would like to suggest, I am fully open to it.

Once again, I honestly appreciate all the support and trust you have placed in this EA. Please be assured that I will continue putting in my best effort to improve it every day.

Osloma Gold v1.5 took a stoploss today in some of the brokers although the entry was not generated on all the brokers, including the one for the live signal. While I work on to evaluate the issue, I just want to share this quick update first.

More than anything else, I genuinely feel bad about the stoploss being hit. I understand it was painful, and I am not taking it lightly.

I am reviewing everything carefully and will share an update as soon as possible.

It looks like Osoloma Gold has opened a grid trade in some brokers while it was not in others, including the live signal account on ICMarkets. The entry was also reported in few ICMarket accounts and the same in a floating loss as I type this. I personally got this entry in my Vantage account, and I am waiting for it to close since it has not hit the basket stop set for it. I am evaluating the causes, and I will share an update asap.
