Proteus is a mixture of 2 EAs that I build myself.
ProteusMonster is a rule based EA, with numerous filters and possibilities. It can both be used as a sniper (single entry), a recovery (single entry with one or more recovery orders) or even a grid mode (with varoius possibilities for entry and building the grid). It has a bunch of entry strategies, exit strategies and grid strategies.
ProteusChronos is time based, and requires either some kind of breakout or some kind of support within the chosen timeframe to trade. It also has numerous filters and possibilites. It does not have a grid mode, but have 2 kind of recovery modes. One is "cathing the opposite" as I call a counter order - the other one is a recovery order, which just adds volume to the next "correct" trade.
I prefer using a single entry for this signal, and a controlled risk. I will risk between 0.5% and 3% per trading sequence (so the counter or recovery will be included in the risk.
I can sometimes close orders manually, but I prefer to let the systems to their thing.
