Spécifications
I am looking to acquire an existing, fully functional Expert Advisor (EA) that trades Forex CFDs, with the option of trading other CFDs if the strategy supports them safely.
Performance objectives
-
Target average net monthly return: 1.5%.
-
A consistent 1.0% monthly return may be considered if the system demonstrates strong risk control and credible performance.
-
Minimum historical backtesting period: 10 years, where reliable historical data are available.
-
Maximum historical daily equity drawdown: 5%.
-
Maximum historical overall equity drawdown: 10%.
All performance figures must include realistic transaction costs and account for floating losses.
Trading strategy
I prefer a single-currency-pair swing trading system, initially focused on EURUSD. Scalping systems and multi-instrument EAs are also acceptable if they satisfy all performance and risk requirements.
Martingale recovery, uncontrolled grid trading and strategies that conceal or indefinitely defer losses are not acceptable.
Live performance
The EA must have a verifiable live trading record or associated live signal. Please provide the signal URL, account type, broker, leverage, complete monthly performance history and equity drawdown statistics.
Backtesting
Please provide detailed reports covering net returns, monthly results, maximum daily and overall equity drawdown, profit factor, Sharpe ratio, recovery factor, trade history, spreads, commissions, swaps and slippage assumptions.
I also require out-of-sample testing and evidence that the strategy has not been excessively optimized to historical data.
Source code and ownership
The complete editable source code is mandatory, preferably in MQL5 for MetaTrader 5. Please include all dependencies, configuration files, installation instructions and the applicable source-code licence.
A compiled EA without the source code will not meet my requirements.
Information requested from the vendor
Please provide the EA's name, purchase price, ongoing fees, supported brokers, supported instruments, backtest reports, live signal URL, source-code availability and any known limitations.
Please do not submit projected returns or marketing screenshots as substitutes for verifiable performance evidence.
9. Final acceptance decision
I would reject an EA immediately if any of these critical requirements fail:
It has no accessible source code.
Its live record cannot be independently verified.
Its historical equity drawdown exceeds 10%.
Its historical daily equity drawdown exceeds 5%.
It relies on martingale or uncontrolled grid recovery.
Its ten-year report cannot be reproduced with realistic trading costs.
Its live settings materially differ from the backtested settings without a convincing explanation.
One final point: the combination of 1.5% monthly returns, a 5% daily drawdown limit and a 10% overall drawdown limit is a demanding target. Do not relax the risk controls just to find a seller who claims to meet it.
