Request for the algorithm to differentiate between 1. up/down market trend, 2. Down trend, 3. Up trend

Please provide a method, advice or algorithm to determine the market of the target forex pair is Up/Down trend, Up trend or Down trend.   For Up/Down trend, please also provide the method to determine the upper and lower values for the oscillating range.
