🤔 Why don't I develop MT4 version of EA anymore?
Starting from 2025, I will no longer develop MT4 version of EA.
The reason is that the order execution mechanism of MT4 is different from that of MT5, and the trading results of different versions of EA will be different. Even if the EA name is the same, it is actually a product with completely different functions.
In addition, there are many limitations on the backtesting function of MT4, and it can only rely on TickDataSuite to import historical data.
In contrast, MT5 can directly access high-quality historical data provided by local brokers, which is crucial for verifying whether the EA backtest results are the same as the actual trading results.
If the backtest cannot reflect the actual trading situation, then the basis for developing trading strategies will lose its reference value.
Based on the above considerations, I chose to give up developing the MT4 version of EA. If your broker does not yet support MT5, you can switch to a broker that supports MT5.
