A Note to All Traders and ClientsRecently, I was targeted by a buyer who attempted to manipulate the review system by demanding a refund without any valid reason.
The user purchased my product without testing the demo, and only a week later began threatening to leave a negative review unless I gave him a “working system” — a system that was already delivered and functions as intended. He refused to explain what he had done, would not share any examples or screenshots, and instead kept pressuring me for a refund.
When I offered to resolve the situation, he sent me multiple PayPal accounts with different names, refused to confirm his identity, and eventually requested a crypto payment to a Romanian wallet.
This behavior is not normal, and I believe it was an intentional scheme to obtain the product for free. I reported the situation to the platform’s support team, including all screenshots and logs.
About the Platform’s ResponseUnfortunately, the support team declined to take action, stating that leaving a negative review is “not a threat” even when combined with refusal to cooperate, identity mismatches, and evidence of blackmail.
This leaves independent developers like me without any real protection — a fact that I find deeply discouraging.
Additional NoteThis incident involved a user operating under the name “Vasyl Daki”, who made the purchase from Norway, claimed to be Ukrainian, and provided conflicting payment accounts under different names. I share this not to attack anyone, but to help other developers stay alert to similar patterns of behavior.
