I receive notifications when I hit TEST on VPS MT5 terminal, but not EA-generated ones.

I recently installed a copy of Metatrader 5 on a AWS VPS to run a signals-generating EA. This EA was tested on my local PC, and it works fine. On the VPS however, I get no notifications. But when I hit the TEST button on options - notifications on the VPS copy, I immediately get a notification, so I
