Hi..
My strategy in trading is to only trade when there is a calculated advantage towards a positive outcome. Simply put i don't pressure myself to trade on a daily basis. Regardless of whatever charts, indicator or specific methods to determine the entry point, sitting in front of the PC and constantly calculating the suitable timing is not what is prefer. I guess it is the same sentiment everywhere. Sooner or later frustration is sure to kick-in and the trader might make emotional decision rather than following to the predefined entry ruling to enter a trade....
To eliminate all this problems , i have written my own EA which enters only when the situation warrants it, therefore there maybe several days lapse between two trades and even few weeks (very rare).
What i want to emphasize is that higher number of trades does not necessarily translate into profits. What matters most is % winning trades is high even when only several trades are made in specific period. for example, with an initial deposit of USD 500...and system taking only 5 trades (averaging each USD 10/trade) in a month with all yielding positive results ...will translate into a 10% return for the period.
This is the type of results that i look forward to. Of course if the system detects more opportunities to trade i'm happy about that too.
