PrimeTime Intraday Volatility Extrapolator is a valuable indicator for intraday traders. Armed with PrimeTime, you will know at a glance when to trade and when not to. That is: you will know when to kick back and relax, knowing that you are not missing out on any particularly favorable trading opportunities, and when it is "game on", time to get on the ball!

This leading indicator is formed not as a result of the current bars' movement, but as pre-calculated values displayed upon the opening of each bar. Though, previous values of the indicator also provide a useful analysis of the statistical characteristics of each bar/period of the week.

To use PrimeTime, set the Level parameter to a value that separates the volatile peaks from the obviously uninteresting low periods. Adjust the Threshold_Period and Threshold_Offset to a smooth value appropriate to the particular timeframe of your chart that highlights the rapidly rising "acceleration zones". Lower timeframes require higher Threshold_Period values, and vice versa. When your Level value is exceeded, the dark green bars transition to a lighter shade. This is the "trade zone". When the Threshold value is exceeded, the bar is highlighted red as can be seen in the screenshots. This is the "acceleration zone".
