Expert in backtesting and stress testing systems.
Analyzing is my passions, such as findings edge on Marktes.
Follow simple rules to be profittable:
1) Never allow anybody manage your own money. Study-educate yourself and deploy it in live when all task are done correctly.
2) Check the max hystorical risk from backtest and set it adeguating to your risk appettite to your live account.
3) remember that if u get a loss of 50% of deposit, to get back your deposit now you will need to make the 100% ! so calculate risk before to start.
4) backtest all EAs that u run with real spread and commissions and slippages. Use Tick Data Suite for that.
5) Patience and Disclipline: once you have setup your EA with correct risk management, do not touch it for 1 year and make the conclusion after that period.
6) this rule refer to # 5: monitor your system: if the system live is triggering a +30% DRAWDOWN than hystorical backtest 2003-today - than the system have to be excluded immediatly.

Check the date, Genie was pubblished June 2021, this is a real profittable EA, not curve fitted! The Green area is the OUT-SAMPLE REAL period, posted 1,5 year later than EA was pubblished.

Latency to broker:
Genie is a scalper EA and a Breakout EA, but latency is not mandatory , i am running it with 100ms to some of my brokers.
Yes, the less the better, but there are other issue, and for example is much more important to have a good VPS than 2 ms latency with a bad one!
Also i suggest you to monitoring the VPS, in case of disconnections, to have a software that autorestart the MT4/5.
Nobody will take care of your money, if not you!
Different Trades between different Brokers:
It's 100% normal to have different trades between different brokers, becouse they use different LPs! Liquidity Providers offer to brokers different spread and tick density, so you will always face that in one broker sometimes you will hve a stop loss that in another you didn't catch.
With time you will see that this differences will tend to normalize and equalizy.
I usually monitor the system, in a windows time of 12 months before to asses that one broker is good or bad.
Green pips to all traders that can support stagnation-DD-and don't touch the setup for a long period, which i stimate 1 year.
Calm, Patience, and Discipline is the key of success.
