The average slippage based on execution statistics on real accounts of various brokers is specified in pips. It depends on the difference between the provider's quotes from "Tickmill-Live" and the subscriber's quotes, as well as on order execution delays. Lower values mean better quality of copying.

Brent crude oil (XBRUSD) carry trade, H1 entries.
Strategy
- Carry trade: positions are held only in the direction that earns positive overnight swap, so the account collects swap while holding.
- Entry timing on H1: a position is opened when the H1 candle color flips to the swap-positive direction.
- Trades are placed manually; this account is used to test the method live.
Position size
- Typical trade: 5-10 lots. On Tickmill one XBRUSD lot is only 1 barrel, so 10 lots = 10 barrels (about 1,000 USD notional). A 20 % move against the position costs about 200 USD.
- Many brokers use 100 barrels per lot (e.g. IC Markets): 10 lots there = 1,000 barrels, 100 times larger. Check your broker's contract size before copying and keep the same exposure in barrels, not in lots.
- Do not increase the copy volume.
Risk
- NO stop loss. Risk is controlled by the small position size and by manual closing.
- No martingale, no grid.
- Recommended minimum deposit: 500 USD.
Notes
- The swap direction on oil can change with the futures curve; positions follow whichever side pays positive swap at the time.
- Oil can move 5-10 % in a day on EIA reports (Wednesdays), OPEC decisions or geopolitical news; without a stop loss, drawdown can be large.
