GridShield FX

GridShield FX is a fully automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It trades a grid strategy with progressive lot scaling on six currency pairs at the same time. Minimum account balance: $3,000.

STRATEGY

• Six pairs traded simultaneously: EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, EURGBP, GBPAUD, AUDCAD
• Lot size is calculated from the account balance and recalculated automatically when the balance changes by 5% or more
• Grid spacing is calculated automatically from 30-35 days of historical volatility
• Lot multiplier is applied progressively at 40% and 80% of the grid depth (up to 4x the base lot)
• Take-profit target is adjusted dynamically to each pair's volatility

PROTECTION

• Trading is paused for 1 hour before and after FOMC, NFP, CPI and PPI releases
• Volume spike filter: trading is paused for 1 hour when volume exceeds 3x the 20-day average for the same time of day
• Hard stop at the last grid level (maximum 50 levels) for each pair
• Event filter state is restored automatically after an EA restart or recompile

RISK MANAGEMENT

• The six-pair portfolio balances USD, GBP, EUR and commodity currency exposure
• Normal risk level: the maximum loss per pair at the hard stop is about $1,125 on a $3,000 account (about 37%)
• The hard stop of each pair is independent. If several pairs reach their stop levels together, the total loss can exceed the account balance (theoretical worst case: 6 x $1,125)
• Actual losses can be larger than the target because of slippage, gaps and commissions
