The average slippage based on execution statistics on real accounts of various brokers is specified in pips. It depends on the difference between the provider's quotes from "AxioryAsia-06Live" and the subscriber's quotes, as well as on order execution delays. Lower values mean better quality of copying.
Overview
SimpleLab is an Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 4 (MQL4). It is a highly flexible grid-based EA that allows you to combine multiple technical indicator algorithms to build custom entry and close strategies.
Key Features
Entry Algorithm (Selectable)
The signal generation algorithm for entries can be switched via parameters. Multiple technical indicator-based approaches are supported, covering both trend-following and counter-trend strategies.
Close Algorithm (Selectable)
Close conditions can be configured independently from entry logic. Multiple modes are available — such as "always closeable," "profit-only close," and "close on signal reversal" — providing fine-grained control over position management.
Filter System
Additional filters using different timeframes or indicators can be layered on top of entry signals. This suppresses unwanted entries and improves signal quality.
Grid & Spacing
A grid function adds positions at defined intervals relative to existing ones. Spacing width supports both fixed values and automatic calculation based on market volatility.
Automatic Lot Sizing
Lot size is calculated automatically based on account balance or equity. The EA auto-detects the instrument type (JPY pairs, Gold, stock indices, etc.) and applies appropriate base values accordingly.
Profit & Loss Management
- Bulk close on profit target (with optional trailing)
- Hidden stop loss (not exposed to the broker)
- Loss-based cut function
- P&L evaluation in combined or split mode for buy/sell positions
Trading Hours Control
Supports configurable trading start/end times and automatic pause during specified periods. A spread limit filter prevents entries when spreads are excessively wide.
Chart Display
Real-time on-chart display of current floating P&L, position count, lot size, spacing width, margin level, and more.
Supported Instruments
Compatible with JPY currency pairs, Gold (XAUUSD), stock indices, and more. Instrument type is detected automatically to adjust internal parameters.
