Hello speedytina,

the purpose is to measure the rate of change from a point to another in the chart. This is done by enabling crosshair (Crtl + F).

Beside that, it's common use it to determine entry/exit targets.  

Instructions:
  1. Attach the indicator to the desired graphic
  2. When the window appears, go to Inputs and set the parameters as you wish.
  3. After setting the parameters, click OK.
  4. Press Ctrl + F to enable crosshair.
  5. To measure the percentage, choose a point in the chart, press the left mouse button, dragging it to the desired point.

As far as I know, Linux users cannot use market products, I guess this apply to Mac users too. I believe this is due the licensing processing MetaQuotes use to validate your machine with the product.
