Advanced Candle

Advanced Candle indicator is designed to display four candle types (including non-standard ones) on the main chart:

  1. HTF Candles allow to display candles for any time frame, including non-standard ones. For example, М27 or М135;
  2. Box Candles (candles having their minimum height set in points or percentage value) allow to generate candles having specified minimum height, for example, of 100 points or 0.5%;
  3. Volume Candles (candles having their minimum volume set in tick volume or real volume) allow to generate candles having specified minimum volume, for example, of 1000 ticks;
  4. Session Candles - four sessions can be generated either together, or separately. Sessions time is fully customizable.

The buffers are used in the indicator, while graphical objects are used only for the current uncompleted candle.

Several Advanced Candles can be generated on one chart.

The indicator has the following parameters:
  1. Type of display Сandles - selecting displayed candles type.
    • High time frame Candles - candles of the higher time frame.
    • Box Candles - candles having specified height;
    • Volume Candles - candles having specified volume;
    • Trading session Candles.

  2. Settings HTF Candles - high time frame candles settings:
    • Period Candles in minutes (max.7200), multiply chart period - candles period in minutes (max. value is 7200 - week candle), the value must be multiple of a chart period;
    • Candles offset (+/-) in minutes, multiply of the chart period - candles offset in minutes (+ offset to the right, - offset to the left), multiple of a chart period. This parameter specifies the candles offset, allowing to generate candles, starting from any time. For example, Н5 candles can start from the 25th minute of the hour.

  3. Settings Box Candles - settings for the candles with a set height.
    • Type Box Candles - specified height type: points or percentage values;
    • min Height of the Candle - the lowest specified candles height in points or percentage values according to the selected type. The lowest height is used here, as the candles of that type are generated based on the current chart candles. The height of these candles can exceed the specified candles height even on М1 chart. Greater accuracy is reached on М1 time frame of a basic chart.

  4. Settings Volume Candles - settings for the candles with a set volume.
    • min Volume of Candle - the lowest specified candle volume. The lowest volume is used here, as the candles of that type are generated based on the current chart candles. The volume of these candles can exceed the specified candles height even on М1 chart. Greater accuracy is reached on М1 time frame of a basic chart;
    • Volume type may be either tick Volume, or real Volume, in case a broker submits the appropriate data.

  5. Settings Session Candles - settings for session candles. Sessions start and end times are set in hours. A session will not be displayed, in case do not display is selected instead of at least one time. The candles of that type are correctly displayed on H1 and lower charts. Inaccuracies are possible on higher periods, if a specified time is not multiple of a chart period.
    • Begin Pacific session - Pacific session start;
    • End Pacific session - Pacific session end;
    • Begin Asia session - Asia session start;
    • End Asia session - Asia session end;
    • Begin Euro session - Euro session start;
    • End Euro session - Euro session end;
    • Begin Usa session - USA session start;
    • End Usa session - USA session end;
    • Color Pacific session - Pacific candle color;
    • Color Asia session - Asia candle color;
    • Color Euro session - Euro candle color;
    • Color Usa session -  USA candle color.

  6. Global setting of candles - common settings for all candles.
    • Number day of displayed candles - number of candles generations is specified in days. If this parameter is equal to zero or has a negative value, candles will be generated for the whole available history. The value multiple of a week (5 days) plus the number of days in the current week must be specified for the candles of Box Candle and Volume Candle types.
    • To consider transition to a new week - transition to a new week will be considered. This parameter allows to control transition between weeks without affecting Session Candle. If Yes has been selected, all candle types will start by a new candle on Monday regardless of how a previous week candle has been finished. If No has been selected, HTF Candle will start by a new candle on Monday considering the number of candles during the weekend, while Box Candle and Volume Candle will be generated regardless of transition between weeks.
    • To display Candle shadows - candles shadows on/off;
    • To draw shadows on the Candle middle - shadows will be traditionally located in the middle or at actual points of extreme prices generation;
    • Vector display session - candle direction vector on/off. Connects candle opening and closing times and prices;
    • To paint over a Candle background - candle body filling on/off;
    • Candles over the chart - candles will be displayed over the chart;
    • Thickness of a candle line (in pixels);
    • A growing Candle color (does not affect Session Candle);
    • A falling Candle color (does not affect Session Candle);
    • Doji Candle color (does not affect Session Candle);
    • A growing Candle body color (does not affect Session Candle);
    • A falling Candle body color (does not affect Session Candle).
