Recommended starting setup for Apex Gold AI EA:

  • A simple and balanced starting point is to use Medium Risk Mode.

  • Set True Risk Lot Sizing to 1%.

  • Set Drawdown Equity Reference to "Current Balance/Equity".

  • Enable "Close Trades On Drawdown" and set the limit to 5%.

  • A recommended starting account balance is $500 or higher.

Once you are comfortable with the EA's behavior, you can gradually increase the Risk Mode and lot sizing to better match your personal risk tolerance.

Always backtest your settings thoroughly and run them on a demo account before using them on a live real-money account.

For the most accurate backtesting results, it is strongly recommended to use historical data from your own broker rather than a generic demo server, as spreads, execution, symbol settings, and pricing can vary significantly between brokers.

Apex Gold AI can operate on both Netting and Hedging account types. However, the EA is designed to perform best on a Hedging account.

Basic Troubleshooting:

  • Make sure "Algo Trading / AutoTrading" is enabled in MT5.

  • Ensure the EA is attached to the correct XAUUSD chart and timeframe.

  • Check that DLL imports and required permissions are enabled in EA settings.

  • If trades are not opening, verify market hours, spread conditions, minimum account balance, and broker symbol naming.

  • If using a VPS, ensure the VPS is synchronized correctly and remains connected.

  • Reapply the preset and restart MT5 if settings appear incorrect.

  • Always confirm that your broker supports gold trading (XAUUSD) and allows the required lot sizes and leverage.
