RECOMMENDED: Use "Full Auto Low" mode. The EA manages everything for you — modules, risk, and lot sizing are all handled automatically based on your account balance. This is the safest and easiest way to run Project Python.

Important note for small accounts:

If you're running Project Python on a $500 account or less, do not activate all 4 modules at the same time. Each module opens its own positions — running all of them on a small balance will overleverage your account.

For accounts under $500, keep only 1 module active (Cobra is recommended as the most balanced). Only once your account grows above $1,000 should you start adding more modules.

The Full Auto mode handles this for you — it activates modules progressively based on your balance. Check the FAQ or User Manual for the exact balance thresholds per module.

When in doubt, start with Full Auto Low. The EA will add modules automatically as your account grows.

ATR Shield — Important Information:

The default setting is ATR Shield "Fixed" — this is recommended. In this mode, the EA will not open new trades when market volatility is high.

If you switch to "Adaptive" mode, the EA compares current volatility to its recent historical average. This means the EA may trade at ATR levels of 70 or higher, depending on how volatile the market has been in recent days. While this can lead to more trading opportunities and potentially higher profits, it also increases the risk of getting caught in manipulated or unpredictable price action.

Fixed = Safer. Recommended for most users. Adaptive = More opportunities, but higher risk. For experienced traders who accept the added exposure.

Note: The ATR Shield mode is NOT controlled by Full Auto. You need to set it manually regardless of which EA mode you use.

Thanks to a great suggestion from one of our users (much appreciated!), ATR Shield and Break-Even now have an Auto mode. In this mode, each module manages its own ATR and BE settings individually — optimized for current market conditions.

You can still switch ATR Shield to "On" or any other manual setting, and all 4 modules will follow that global choice. Same goes for Break-Even. Auto simply means the EA handles it for you, per module.

This update is live in v1.20.

The first week is over and the first major update has arrived:
There are now 2 short modules (experimental) available for testing. These were designed specifically for the 2026 market; if gold prices return to normal levels as they did in 2025, they will need to be adjusted urgently. That’s why they’re initially marked as experimental, but everyone is free to use them.

All modules have been tightened, including regarding early exit; the stop-loss (SL) is triggered less frequently. As a result, the win rate has dropped to about 50%. This is because the EA prefers to close out bad trades with a loss of $1–$5 rather than hitting a $60 stop-loss. However, as long as a positive trend is present, it tries to capture as much profit as possible.

The EA is designed for the long term; in the backtest, you can immediately see that there are sometimes longer losing trades, but because the EA has no ATR limit, it can be twice as strong during the upcoming uptrend! It is recommended NOT to reduce the risk after a losing streak, otherwise the loss cannot be recovered quickly!

So set the risk beforehand to a level where you can still sleep soundly!

I’ve spent some time working on a set file that performs better than the default settings for most brokers.

Please test the EA once with the default settings and once with the set file. Some brokers achieve better results with the set file than with the default values.

The file only controls how the individual modules respond; you can still use full auto mode or customize the settings as you like.

New update 1.32 is live! The best settings for the 2026 market are now built directly into the EA. Yes, this may make older backtests look slightly different — but my goal is to give you an EA that performs NOW, not one that looked great in 2025.

No set file is needed anymore. The only set file I provide is for users with very small accounts, so they can start right away with a solid configuration.

The new 1.4 update has introduced a number of new features!

This has resulted in some new lines and minor adjustments.
Here is the new setfile for a bankroll of $500–$1,000 if you don't want to use full auto mode.
