Many traders are concerned about one key question: how accurate will tick volume readings be on non-standard charts?
The Answer: Tick volumes are calculated and displayed with absolute precision. The utility employs a "smart" hybrid candle-building algorithm that automatically adapts to the size of your current custom chart environment:
1. Micro-precision for small fractional charts (e.g., 1.5M)
For the shortest (less than 5 minutes) and fractional timeframes, such as the 1.5M (90-second) chart, a heavy-duty but extremely precise tick engine is used. On these intervals, the program requests raw tick history from the broker and "assembles" candles in real-time from scratch. The volume for a 1.5M candle is 100% authentic — the utility physically counts every incoming tick from the broker and records it within the bar. This provides a perfect micro-structure of volume, which is critical for scalping strategies and beyond! (Note: To prevent terminal freezes, the history depth for this algorithm is limited to the last 3 days. If you require more, please DM me for a custom setup).
2. Mathematical aggregation for higher timeframes (e.g., 1.5H)
For higher custom timeframes of 5 minutes and above (e.g., a 1.5H — 90-minute chart), processing every single millisecond of tick history is inefficient. For these, an aggregation algorithm is automatically activated. In this mode, the program takes the server's pre-existing 1-minute bars and "stitches" them into a larger 1.5H candle. The tick volume for the 1.5H bar is calculated by strictly summing the volumes of all underlying 1-minute bars. The result: Volume data is reflected with absolute realism and accuracy, yet even massive 1.5H charts load instantly.
