Trend Watcher

Using a proprietary algorithm, the system analyzes historic data to determine an anticipated direction of a trend.

It also utilizes a combination of eight indicators and unique money management technique to place market orders.

You may use this EA on any market instrument (hourly or daily charts).

The indicators are similar to the ones publicly available, however they are slightly modified to fit the EA’s methodology.


Inputs

  • Test Mode: Set it to <False> when trading live. Set it to <True> when backtesting the EA.
  • History Start Date: Set it to the same day you launch the EA
  • Lot Size: Lot size for new orders
  • Time Frame: Hourly or Daily only
  • Activate Signals: Here you may disable or enable indicator signals (True = enable, False = disable)

CCI Indicator Parameters

  • CCI MA Method: Set a moving average method (recommended setting is Linear Weighted)
  • CCI Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 85 and 95)

CYBER Indicator Parameters

  • Settings for this indicator are embedded in the program, so no user input is required. However you may still disable this indicator.

MACD Indicator Parameters

  • MACD Fast EMA: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 1 and 10)
  • MACD Slow EMA: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 80 and 100)
  • MACD Signal EMA: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 60 and 70)

TDI Indicator Parameters

  • TDI RSI Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 25 and 45)
  • TDI RSI MA Method: Set a moving average method (recommended setting is Exponential)
  • TDI RSI MA Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 80 and 90)
  • TDI Trade MA Method: Set a moving average method (recommended setting is Simple)
  • TDI RSI MA Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 5 and 15)

TRIX Indicator Parameters

  • TRIX MA Method: Set a moving average method (recommended setting is Smoothed)
  • TRIX Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 35 and 45)

TSI Indicator Parameters

  • TSI Momentum MA Method: Set a moving average method (recommended setting is Smoothed)
  • TSI Momentum MA Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 100 and 120)
  • TSI MA Method: Set a moving average method (recommended setting is Smoothed)
  • TSI MA Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 50 and 70)

TVI Indicator Parameters

  • TVI MA Method: Set a moving average method (recommended setting is Exponential)
  • TVI R: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 100 and 120)
  • TVI S: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 55 and 75)
  • TVI U: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 35 and 45)

UOSC Indicator Parameters

  • UOSC MA Method: Set a moving average method (recommended setting is Smoothed)
  • UOSC Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 45 and 60)
  • UOSC Data Smoothing: Set it True to reduce market noise
  • UOSC Smoothing Period: Set a moving average period (recommended setting is between 90 and 100)
  • Number of Candles to Analyze: Set the number of candles to analyze (recommended setting is 1,000 candles for hourly chart)
  • Profit Level:
    • Some deals (not all) will remain open until a certain profit level is reached (recommended setting is 0.05 or 5%)
    • 5% = 0.05 = Equity / Balance – 1
    • A higher value will yield bigger returns, but will also increase volatility and your risk exposure
  • Volatility: A higher value will yield bigger returns, but will also increase volatility and your risk exposure (recommended setting is 2)
