I was introduced to Forex trading about 6 years ago. Unfortunately, the picture painted for me then was that of Gold Mine. Anyone who has spent a few years in Forex knows it is anything but. I was disappointed and quit after 3 years. I just recently began looking at Forex Trading again from the light of an investment rather a lazy man's dream of getting rich. That Paradigm led me to the MQL5 Community where i have found a good number of friends who have supported me and helped me along the this painstaking journey ...

Perhaps the best decision i have made with regard to trading is to never go live with a system until it has been tested for at least 6 months. Looking back, i can see how much i would have made in about 6 to eight week weeks with many highly acclaimed systems, and lost in 2 days!

Sometimes, the things we despise are the ones that turn out being what we need. I wrote off this signal because of the heavy drawdown it had, but the developer of the EA showed me how to reduce the trade frequency and it has been doing significantly well since. Looks like i will still give it a chance.

Seriously, what happened to the days when developers were willing to prove the integrity of their products by providing a free one month (or even one week) trial? Did i miss something?
