I thought it prudent to give an update. The moves over the past week have been stubborn and determined despite all our positions being in overbought or in oversold territory. We touched 36% DD and whilst, the account could withstand further moves against it, I believe it was best to remove the weight from the account and persevere with the more attractive positions. The setback at this stage cannot be calculated but as long as the current open positions do as I expect, I would guess at about a 3 week recovery period.

Well that was certainly an interesting week. We made nice gains and currently have a little bit of DD (circa 8%). I have had to transition between timeframes in a number of trades this week. This is quite unusual. However these defensive measures work nicely. Looking at our current positions, the GBPJPY has attached itself to us and the risk is further moves up. However, we have transitioned into a weekly timeframe dynamic gridding structure which will do just fine. Other trades are all within the scope of the strategy and I expect them to run out of steam pretty soon.

Another smooth week. However this time we had a sticky time with the USDCHF and the USDSGD. As a result of a sudden and fairly aggressive move down, we transitioned from the 4hr buying zone to the daily, finding the perfect spot for the final piece of the grid. DD is nice and low and is currently capped at 5.1% on this account.

No changes in strategy for the coming week, we are doing just fine. DD has been nice and low. Executing my trades at the right time remains the key. My grids were all within 3 trades this past week (mostly a single trade). Have a great week all.

Well its been a nice January for my trading strategy. No Draw Down of any note, so no drama. Thats the way it should stay. Looking ahead to February, I am not interested in taking on higher risk trades, I am happy to pluck the simple profits from the low hanging branches. Theres good volatility so I don't need to search too hard for good opportunities. Have a great weekend.
