Modification of Expert Advisor based on Donchian Channel

Update Donchian Channel

Is condition:

-         - Most positions closing after 2 – 3 points upper or lower movement. But the trailing stop has the value 50 points. It does not make sense.

-         - ADX and Stochastic filters works properly

-         - Positions opens before closing the current candle

Target situation:

-        - Positions opens after closing the candle before which triggers the buy or sell signal

-        -  Positions closing only if the trailing stop (50 points) is triggered

Expert Advisor based on Donchian Channel

Settings:

HHLL Period = 20, Margins = 0

ADX Period = 14

SSTOC Period = 5, 3, 3

Time Period = H1

 

Buy & Sell Signals

Buy Signal:

Higher high ot the upper line of the Donchian Channel has been created. Open position after closing the candle which creates higher high on the upper line. (see screenshot)

Sell Signal:

Lower low on the lower line of the Donchian Channel has been created. Open Position after closing the candle which creates lower low on the lower line.

 

Filter:

The Filter values are valid for the candle before the candle which opens a position:

Open position only if:

1.       ADX > 30 or < 20

2.1   SSTOC: K Period < 80 long trade

2.2   SSTOC: K Period > 20 short trade

 

Do not open position if:

1.       ADX 20 – 30

2.3   SSTOC: K Period > 80 long trade

2.4   SSTOC: K Period < 20 short trade

 

Stop & take profit

Trailing Stop: 50 points

Stop loss: 100 points

 

Money Management

10 % of total capital per trade

 

Notice:

-          I need possibility to change settings of ADX, SSTOC, Trailing stop, period, market via settings for strategy tester.

-          only 1 Position is open at the same time
