General Informations:
Tortuga is based on a smart grid system with an intelligent martingale strategy perfectly fitted for the selected trading pairs.
Tortuga works on the following three pairs only: AUDNZD, NZDCAD, AUDCAD
Timeframe is M15
Min. Account Balance: 300$ recommended
Leaverage: 1:500 recommended, otherwise higher Account Balance is needed
Features:
- One Chart Setup: All symbols can be traded on one Chart
- Easy Setup: All neccassary settings are already programmed, you just have to select the start Lot size
- Steady income: Tortuga gives you good results if you choose the starting Lot size wisely in relation to your account size. (I'll give you free support for the best settings from my experience)
Start Trading:
- Tortuga must be attached to one of the trading Symbols charts
- When your broker uses a suffix for the Tradingpair (e.g. NZDCAD.i) the Symbols needs to be updated in the Settings
- Choose the initial Lot size and you are done, no set file is needed
- Use it only with AUDNZD, NZDCAD, AUDCAD
Requirements:
- Tortuga is not sensitive to spread nor needs a fast connection to the broker. A good ECN Broker with Low spread is always to prefer. Brokers i recommend and personally use with Tortuga: ICMarkets, Alpari (ICMarkets is the best broker in my opinion, very good spreads with rawspread account)
- EA needs to run 24/5 on a VPS
Basic Settings:
- New Grid pair allowed: You can stop Tortuga for opening new Grids, f.e. your setup is 3 pairs at one, you have 2 different grids already trading. You don't want a new one, set it to false.
- Start Lot size: Lot size of the initial Trade
- Max. Spread: Max. allowed spread on the Trading pair in pips
- Max. Slippage: Max. Slippage for non-ECN Account in pips
- Max. pairs at once: Max. allowed Trading pairs at once (can be more than 3 when Hedging is allowed)
- Allow Hedging: Allows Buying and Selling at the same time on one Symbol
Grid Entry Customization:
- Currencies (seperated by comma): The symbols you want to trade
- Starting Trading hour: The hour when Tortuga starts trading new positions
- Stop Trading hour: The hour when Tortuga stops looking for new entries
- Bollinger Bands Period: Bollinger Bands Period for trading decisions
- RSI Period: RSI Period for trading decisions
- Max. RSI Value: Filter for low potential trades
TP Settings:
- TP for first trade: TP for the initial trade (if no grid trade has been opened)
- Hide TP: Hide TP from Broker, Tortuga closes the trade by itself
SL Settings
- SL for Grid: SL for the whole Grid, based on initial trade
- Hide SL: Hide SL from Broker, Tortuga closes the trade by itself
Grid Settings:
- 1st DCA Trade Multiplier: Multiplier for the first Grid trade
- 2nd-4th DCA Trade Multiplier: Multiplier for the 2nd to 4th Grid trade
- 5th-max. DCA Trade Multiplier: Multiplier for 5th - max. positions
Miscellaneous Setting:
- UID (Number from 0 ...9): UID, no need to change normally
- Trade Comment: Trade Comment for MetaTrader
