MQL5 training

There is the following proposal for beginners to study the programming language of trading strategies MQL5.

I have created a course for beginners consisting of 8-10 lectures. I can deliver them online. I have already tested this method. Anyone interested is welcome to apply. The fee will be small.

P.S. I do not know if you can advertise your services here. I ask moderators if I violated the format, do not kick :-))

I think this service will be in demand in the run-up to the Championship. All in all, it's a good idea.
Thank you for your opinion. I assume the course will be aimed at "lazy" people. In other words, I will show and tell you what I program and how I do it. Naturally, I will start with the basics...

Kernighan and Ritchie wrote in their famous book: "The only way to learn a new programming language is to write programs in it".

Courses without assignments and task control, also "for lazy listeners" who will just listen to you "telling and showing", are useless. There are textbooks and documentation for stories and demonstrations. For courses, on the other hand, you need consultations.

Not only that, but ask programmers how many textbooks (not to be confused with documentation and reference books) and courses they have attended in their lives (except for fragmentary). The answer will surprise you greatly.

There is a truism: "To learn to program, you just have to write programs".

Courses without assignments and task control, also "for lazy listeners", who will just listen to you "telling and showing" are not needed in the hell. There are textbooks and documentation for stories and demonstrations. For courses, on the other hand, you need consultation.

Moreover, ask programmers how many textbooks and courses they have read in their lives. The answer will greatly surprise you.

Here, colleagues, is the opinion of a respected expert , who holds an honourable second place in Top Developers (183 completed jobs and 12 in development!). The opinion is very valuable. Allow me to respond...

I have built the methodology of the course in this way:

1. First, the listener is given theoretical material to study before each new lecture;

2. Then the lecture itself. It is more related to concrete examples;

3. After the lecture a homework assignment is offered for completion. During the next lecture the homework is sorted out if the student has any questions.

Special thanks to colleague Abolk for his remarks...

The methodology of the course is structured in this way:

1. First, the listener is given theoretical material to read before each new lecture;

2. Then the lecture itself is given. It is more concerned with concrete examples;

3. After the lecture a homework assignment is offered for completion. During the next lecture the homework is sorted out if the student has any questions.

A special thanks to my colleague for his remarks.

This will be in demand. The main thing is not to dwell on this format. Use the training itself to hone your methods (simply put, identify the most difficult questions for the audience to understand) and over time you can use this material for a sensible textbook. Good luck.

Nikolai, thanks for the feedback!

And you yourself, who do you see this course as being aimed at?

Who do you see yourself as being the target of this course?

So far, for beginners. I have little experience in teaching just a programming course, so for the time being I am focused on basic things. And time will show.

What are you personally interested in?

A very good idea.

Renat, thank you.

By the way, it would bevery good if MetaQuotes introduced some kind of certification system for specialists. To show a client an official paper confirming that so-and-so has been checked for professional competence... otherwise you will earn such authority, as abolk's does:-))

What exactly I'm interested in, in terms of courses, I don't know.

If you create a course that will explain the object-oriented programming paradigm using MQL5 as an example, and learn syntax at the same time, you will cover a wide range of people, both beginners and people, who feel doubtful about the usefulness of MQL5. And I would say that you will do a great educational job. I think it won't make much sense to tell about the syntax and how to do certain things in this or that language.

Good luck to you.
