Commodities (October trends)
Crude oil inter-market spread, fuel oil - oil, HO - CL = 1^1.
Since the second decade of October, oil demand has markedly exceeded fuel oil demand and the spread line has been going down seasonally until the very last days of the month. Below is a graph of the multi-year (5 and 15 year) seasonal spread trends for December Z-contracts of these instruments:

However, you may as well use the current November X-trends. Just remember that the X-Contract for CL oil will expire on October 16!
Here is a graph of last year's performance of the above commodity spread during the analyzed period, i.e. from mid-October to November 1 (plot marked with vertical lines):

As we see, the performance was very satisfactory! Almost +5 profit figures on the CL oil scale closed as a result!

I think you should not be in too much of a hurry to enter. It is better to wait for reliable, obvious signs of spread line reversal downwards and then assess the situation for selling the spread:

Senk s, got in yesterday, will hook up the indicators tomorrow to monitor and control the poses.
Leonid, when working with yen pairs some nonsense is starting to happen with volumes (see picture). Can you tell me what changes need to be made to the indicator to get it right.

I've now loaded an indicator on these pairs in mt4 alpari and it's displaying fine.
I don't know if it is the server that has malfunctioned? For instance, the indicator takes those parameters that the server gives and uses them to calculate the comment.
Try to open positions for both symbols on the demo account.
