I will use the USDJPY example from a previous post.

Chart has setup of Weis Pip Wave and Weis Wave with Alert of Autowaves with Sensitivity 12 to get the details.

Reading our waves with Speed Index from Left To Right.

1. We are downtrending and then after a fast down wave with volume but with a Low Speed Index of 3.9 at the bottom we get and immediate bullish reaction - High Up Volume and a trend change.

2. As we are going up we hit a Resistance Level and we start retracing to a Fib Level. Do we know if this is a retracement or a change in trend ? The answer is NO.

USDJPY before

So how do we find out? - very simply just got to wait - be patient

USDJPY after1

After a day coming back to this and noticing that there are news for USD I have adjusted the sensitivity from 12 to 3 to get the big picture and these are the observations:

1. That High Speed Index Wave of 9.7 on the previous chart became 17.8 with a fake break below 61.8 Fib - Do we know the next move? The answer is NO because that 1. high volume down wave could be the first push down or re accumulation. So, what do we do? Wait, this is a warning.

2. The immediate up wave has a Speed Index of 6.1 which is is quite normal therefore it means easy move up.  Do we know the next move?  The answer is NO but I have a clue since the up wave went up easily (without an false break and not a High Speed Index)

3. Next Down Wave hitting the Fib again with a High Speed Index of 13.2. Now I am 99.9% sure that this is accumulation and Smart Money is positioning before USD news for the last couple of days.

4. I place two Long  orders which are visible on the chart below and I got almost a 60 pip move with a nice risk reward ratio.

Conclusion: Read the waves with Speed Index properly, be patient and you will win.
