Payment services

Hi all,

I'm really sorry to bring this up here, as it's completely off topic (and off forums :P).

I'm thinking about setting up a MQL4 quick coding service. Cheap, for people here who need a program done quickly and with relative quality. Now eascoder511 beat me to it by days :P, but as I see it there's always room for more working people here.

My thoughts though are about payment transactions for the services. I personally hate PayPal, considering all the slander, lawsuits, unwaranted permanent account freezes and misconduct that's been surrounding the company. And I know there are other similar companies offering the same service, but I don't know names or anyone with personal experience there.

So the question is: how would you ask for payment if you did not want use PayPal? What would you recommend, what do you have personal experience with? What do you think about direct (wire) transfer of money?

Thanks in advance for all the answers,

Fc.

Never used it other than as a customer . . . Google Checkout

'realtive quality' sound's not that good for a program which manages my money ;)

I had many clients which needed some modifications on EA's they have bought by different coders around the forum here, i sometimes i am really scared what i see. My primary target is to deliver secure programs, simply because there is much at risk. You need to pay taxes, you should be paid for the skills you have learned. For me there is no way to offer such services for 20$ or similar. And i have to say that my clients in general appreciate my work. Better 5 clients with regular work than 50 with a one time 20$ job.

my 2 cents

Have you looked at the mql5 site?

Thanks for the input:)

There are different customers. There are customers needing a 20€ job and there are customers requiring a 150€job and then there are those requiring a 10k€ job. And so on. For starters, as I'm a trader and programmer and don't want to code all the time nor trade all the time, I wanted to offer simple 20€ "relative quality" jobs.

But that's beside the point, I was asking about payment methods.

RaptorUK, thank you, I checked it out, but it seems you need a cart service, so a server running it needs to be integrated with GC API. A bit too much work for what I have in mind currently, but will keep it in mind if I expand in the future :)

Any other ideas?

I heard more good experiences than bad with those:

http://www.fastspring.com/

http://www.avangate.com/online-payment-solutions/

http://home.plimus.com/ecommerce/

Although I use paypal on http://www.chartsaccess.com :-) You may hate it, but clients know it. It is always easier to use something that you are familiar with. I would consider it at least as an option.

Thanks, checking it out now.

I have checked the mql5 site with jobs, but the way I understand it, is you need PayPal or WebMoney. You know how I stand regarding PayPal, however I've never heard of or of anyone using WebMoney :P I'll check it out more in depth. Thanks again.
