Kremlin spokesman expects Putin to run again for president of Russia

Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, expects the President of Russia to run in the elections taking place next March and which would leave Vladimir Putin in office until 2030.

In   agreement   with Reuters, which cites an interview carried out on the television channel of a Moscow university with links to the government, Peskov was asked who should be the next Russian head of state and was peremptory: “The same.” And he added, with a smile: “Or different, but the same.”

“Putin has not yet announced his intention to run, but I want to believe that he will and I have no doubt that he will win the elections. I have no doubt that he will continue to be President”, said the spokesperson.
