FIR filter with minimum phase

Found the following article http://www.prist.ru/info.php/articles/group_delay.htm asking for help translating equation (4) into matlab

May I ask why? What is so profitable about it, to translate or just use? What is the usage?

If I understand correctly, this algorithm reduces the group delay of the filter, I want to run it in matlabe

As practice shows, when using the filter correctly, the phase does not matter. What is important is that it is constant. Which is always the case when one filter method is used.

Let's say I built a bandpass cic filter with order 32 and output the values after the signal has passed through it as an indicator (sampling rate 1 time per minute on close), what do I see?

Thank you very much for the link, but all other things being equal I prefer matlab. I don't understand your reference to a certain Peter, there is no such person at the address you gave

It's about me. Don't mind me. Local colour.

It's not really the same Peter... the picture is correct - but the nickname is different

In that case, dear Peter_Zabriski, please give your authoritative opinion on the self-evident problem indicated by me: "Catastrophic delay of filtered signal from original signal" and whether it can be cured

Nick is dr. That's right. I'm the same. In case you don't know, the evil Renat banned me, the good Swinosaurs. (No way, boss!) So now I have to use my almost real name.

But you can't lose your skill. Although attempts have been made.
