MQL4: Security of source code for started expert advisor under Meta Trader 4 platform - question

What is the probability that in the course of working with Meta Trader 4 and running robot, the source code of that robot (full source of expert advisor) will go into the hands of a broker or in the hands of the creators of the Meta Trader program, living in the Russian Federation?

I kindly request the proven answer to the question.

Neither of them have any way of getting your source code unless u send it to them. Even if u do send it to them, there is a 100% chance that they will ignore it completely.

Are you suggesting that the program code written in MQL4 is completely safe?

Is there hidden application backdoors in MT4 ?? -> https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/116521 <- Oh, those Russians !?

I am suggesting that there are no back-doors in the MT4 Terminal. Wasn't that what u were suggesting?

What about broker having a bridge capable of wiping out indicators / EA (not steal) or send trojan to mess-up trades?

I am really stopping myself from making mean sarcastic comments. Sending Trojans?? Wiping out indicators??? What on earth are u talking about?

Gordon, good karma on you mate, I should've thought out my wording better,

I'm not one paranoid character. but it has happened that a trader I know had his indicator abruptly gone from charts when he was scalping. He trades up to 3 standard lots manually.

And I have also experience my indicators gone from charts when my pc is infested with Sality virus rendering ex4 gone and mq4 cannot complete compiling.

So assuming it's an unintentional effect of the virus, would it not also be possible someone can make it intentionally? Up to now I still cannot understand what can cause these experiences (I recall zzuegg had one too).

It's about a million times more likely that these were caused by user errors, software bugs, OS problems, etc. rather than by any mythical Indicator/EA-targeting Viruses and Trojans. And I hope you are not suggesting that brokers or MQ have anything to do with such Trojans/Viruses, cause that's just absurd. Absolutely ridicules!

I try to keep an open mind regarding this. Not MetaQuotes. Local brokers offering MT4. That's why I said a bridge. Third party like Boston tech make bridges. And the notion of bucket shops are very real in my country. I've been one of their client-seeking 'marketer'.

The bridge is between the MT4 server and other financial networks. It has nothing to do with the client-side MT4 Terminal. Where do u get these ideas? It doesn't make any sense!

Even the worst broker in the world, with the worst ethics, won't get involved with Trojans and Viruses! It's as likely as a Las-Vegas casino developing biological neural agents in a secret lab intended to disorient it's clients while they are gambling and make them lose their money... Does that sound logical to you? Don't you think the casino would simply tweak the slot machines in his favor...? The same goes for the brokers - if they really want to screw u over, they will tweak their servers (inject delays, re-quotes, slippage, spread, etc.), but they WON"T develop Trojans and Viruses! It's absurd.
