Issue with opening multiple orders of the same pair simultaneously in the mt4.

Hi folks, I am new to mt4 and am aware that I can place multiple trades on the same pair. However, when I try clicking on either buy or sell multiple times it seems as if I'm not allowed. Could this be a setup issue? I'm also aware of "group trades" but I'm not interested in that, really I just want to be able to trade "on the spot". I would also have the same issue while trading in the demo account with 100k balance and 1.00p size... now, in the real/live account I'm only trading with 1k and 1.00p size. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here, anyways I appreciate the help in advance. Happy trading!

2. Lou:  I'm also aware of "group trades"
   

   No such thing in MT4. Only MT5 has netting accounts.
   

3. Since 2009, hedging is not permitted for US traders.

   Is your stops such that all earlier trades will be closed first?
