I think using ATR instead, is a better approach. I mean speed should be calculated as ATR/ minute. for this purpose the EA should get the 1Minute ATR indicator value and the number of pips traveled should be divided by ATR, then speed is for example 2ATR/ minute. it means the pips traveled in one minute is twice the average 1 Min candle size. and also the rectangle size is better to be imputed as number of ATR
