No Connection in Update

Ok. So I'm working on an expert advisor in MetaTrader 4. I left it running during the night only to find that no trades were placed. I reduced the code to only one line that executes the OrderSend function. Since then, and after reviewing the journal event logs, I found that I was running build 165, and a new update was available.

I thought that MetaTrader4 implements a live update feature that updates the software automatically like in the previous versions. What I had to do was do uninstall my old version, download build 166 "the new version", and re-install it.

The problem is this: There's no connection in the new version. I understand that this thing is still beta testing. I would like to ask how like this "dis-connection" will continue for?
