Dear Climber EA customers. Thank you very much for your support.

Non customers, you can download the Climber EA here:
https://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/56786

This is a list with all the configurable settings inside the Climber EA. If you have any other question feel free to message me, write in this post comment section or in the market page.

Remember that default settings is the recommended configuration for 1000$ or more. You can modify them to adapt the trading to your needs, lower deposits or other currencies.

You can download other recommended configuration files by following this link.

Money Management

With the "Money Management" setting you can configure the way the EA calculates the lot allocation.

  • "Autolot by Balance" (Default setting): lot is auto-calculated based on the account balance. Acquiring more balance will increase the lot size automatically.
  • "Autolot by Equity":  lot is auto-calculated as with "Autolot by Balance" but based on the account equity (including open orders gain/loss). Acquiring more equity will increase the lot size automatically.
  • "Fixed Lot": lot would be always the size configured in the "Fixed Lot" setting, ignoring current account balance and equity.

Fixed Lot

Would be the lot size of new orders when Money Management is "Fixed Lot". Also, this size may be multiplied when strategies open orders at once since them will be combined as "Fixed Lot x Number of Strategies Open".

Step Balance/Equity and Step Lots

Would be used to calculate the lot size when Money Management is "Autolot by Balance" or "Autolot by Equity".
Basically "Step Lots" are multiplied by how many times the account balance or equity steps are reached by using the following formula:

(Account Balance / Step Size) x Step Lots <-- When Money Management is Autolot by Balance
	or
(Account Equity / Step Size) x Step Lots <-- When Money Management is Autolot by Equity

Please note that lot is rounded down.

Take a look at the following examples:

Step Size Step Lots Current Balance/Equity  Result Lot Size
1000 0.01 1000 0.01
500 0.01 2000 0.04
10000 0.10 2000 0.02
1000 0.01 1999 0.01

Max Lot

The order lot will never be bigger than this value, even when Money Management is Autolot. Please note that broker max lot is also checked and won't be exceeded.

Max Orders Total

EA will stop opening new orders when this quantity is reached. Please note that only the orders opened by the Climber EA will be counted.

Max Orders in Same Direction

Same as "Max Orders Total" but checking Shorts and Longs separately. Example: if "Max Orders in Same Direction" is 5 and 5 short orders are already open, only long orders would be opened.

Trading Algorithm

With this setting you can trade with the algorithm from legacy Climber EA versions. It is not recommended to change this setting and keep it as "Last version".

Sensitivity

Climber EA has an algorithm with more than 300 strategies. Since they're automatically sorted by quality, you can choose to trade all of them or only the best ones by fine-tuning this setting.

Bigger "Sensitivity" values will lead to more trades while lower sensitivity will use only the best ones.

Max value is 1 to trade all the signals, while 0 sensitivity would almost not open trades. Recommended and default value is a balanced "0.5".

Max Spread

In forex trading, the spread is the difference between the bid (sell) price and the ask (buy) price of a currency pair.

Bigger spread means high volatility and can lead to wrong trading signals, so we use this setting to filter them.

Default setting is an averaged "39" but you can modify it if your broker or account type requires it.

Please note than ECN accounts spread could be very little, so configure this setting accordingly.

Custom Comment Suffix

This setting adds a text to the end of the order comments. Climber EA also adds an strategy ID to the comment, so they would be something like "999|Your Comment Text".

Please note that already open orders comment won't change.

Magic Number

This number is used by the EA to identify it's own opened orders. Past orders would be ignored by changing this number, so use it carefully.

TIME FILTERS

Start Hour

Trading start time.

Stop Hour

Trading stop time. From this time, no new orders would be open until the  "Start Hour" is reached.

Please note that open orders won't be closed.

Start Hour on Monday

Trading start time on Monday, after market opens. No new orders would be open until this is reached.

Stop Hour on Fridays

Trading stop time on Fridays, before the market closes. From this time, no new orders would be open until the "Start Hour" is reached on next Monday.

Please note that open orders won't be closed.

TREND FILTER (OPTIONAL)

You can set an optional trend filter based on a Moving Average (MA).
Every buy order bellow this MA level as long as every short order above it would be ignored.
This setting is disabled by default.

Look at this article for detailed information:
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/movingaverage.asp

Trend Period

Number of bars to include in the moving average. Set to 0 to disable the trend filter.

Trend Timeframe

Size of each period.

Trend Moving Average Method

Moving average calculation method.

Trend Price

Price used to calculate the moving average.

Inverse Trend Filter

Enabling this setting, the filtering would be inverse (long orders should be on short trend and short orders on long trend).

TRAILING STOP (OPTIONAL)

By default, Climber EA uses fixed take profits but activating this setting you can set them to follow the current price.
This may be useful when the price spikes or high volatility is present and positive.
This setting is disabled by default.

Look at this article for detailed information:
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/t/trailingstop.asp

Trail Stop Start %

Trailing will start when the order profit reach this percentage.

Example: if the order take profit is at 100 points and this setting is "30", the trailing stop will start when 30 or more points of profit are reached.

Trail Stop Mode

The order profit locking distance is based on this setting.

  • Current Profit Percentage: trailing distance is calculated with order current profit. This distance would be larger as long as the order profit gets larger.
  • Strategy Take Profit Percentage: trailing distance is calculated with the order original take profit and will remain the same even when the profit increases.
  • Points: trailing distance is fixed at this X points.

Trail Stop Profit

This setting defines a percentage when the "Trail Stop Mode" setting is "Current Profit Percentage" or "Strategy Take Profit Percentage".
This setting defined points when the "Trail Stop Mode" setting is "Points".

FINE-TUNING  (OPTIONAL)

Climber EA uses fixed take profit and stop loss. With this settings you can increase or decrease them.

Take Profit Multiplier

Every strategy take profit will be multiplied by this number.
Set a value below 1 to decrease or above 1 to increase them.

Example 1: If you set this value to "1.1" and strategy original take profit is 100 points, the new take profit would be at 110 points (100 x 1.1).

Example 2: If you set this value to "0.8" and strategy original take profit is 100 points, the new take profit would be at 80 points (100 x 0.8).

Stop Loss Multiplier

Every strategy stop loss will be multiplied by this number.
Set a value below 1 to decrease or above 1 to increase them.

Example 1: If you set this value to "1.5" and strategy original stop loss is 100 points, the new stop loss would be at 150 points (100 x 1.5).

Example 2: If you set this value to "0.7" and strategy original stop loss is 100 points, the new stop loss would be at 70 points (100 x 0.7).
