The British pound has decreased very insignificantly against the US dollar and reached the level of 1.3270 by the end of trading.

The index of business activity in the industrial sector of the UK has strengthened to the level of 56.3 , despite some pessimistic expectations. Along with the growth of the British economy, the strengthening of business activity in the manufacturing sector supported the rate of the pound .

Today, the meeting of the Bank of England will take place, at which, it is expected, an increase in the interest rate will be announced. A strong report on GDP for the third quarter and an increase in inflation to a level of 3.0% in September will allow the British regulator to begin cutting monetary policy now. It is expected that inflation will continue to grow and the consumer price index will reach 3.2% in October.

Today before the meeting of the Bank of England will publish an index of business activity in the construction sector in the UK . According to preliminary forecasts, the indicator may slightly decrease, which, however, is unlikely to affect the decision of the British regulator.

In our forecast for today, we expect the pair pound / dollar to rise to the resistance levels 1.3290 , 1.3300 and 1.3325 .
