thanks for voting and sharing your opinion.

I personally do not know if a single event like the World Cup can affect a currency, but I can take the case of Italy where the world of football is worth an annual 0.8% of the Gross Domestic Product and is the third largest sector in absolute . So I think that in all the countries where soccer is the first sport certainly has an impact on the economies. On the other hand, however, being a stable value over time perhaps little impact on national currencies.
