Being active in class can be quite beneficial on the side of the student. They need to be able to focus on whatever is being said at the moment. Every student needs to understand that when one is active in class, they get more from the teacher. There are quite many distractions for the contemporary student ranging from their instant messages to social websites. When they engage fully and ask questions or answer them, they can lock out all these other factors. Some students will ignore what happens in lectures with the assumption that they will refer to the reference books. However, at times, only the lecturer can deliver some knowledge. More so they are receptive individuals.
