Visualization
- Dashboard appearance. Time, country, market reaction, event title will be shown in both compact and detailed mode. Event importance, actual, forecast, previous values will be shown in detailed mode only.
- Market reaction measure time, minutes. It is 1 minute by default, which means that price action calculation timespan for 15:30 event is 15:30 to 15:31.
- Market reaction visualization allows to change chart color cheme, to plot news levels and approximate trailing. Disable it if you need only navigation between events without changing chart settings.
Time filter
- Date range. Next week, This week, Tomorrow, Today, Yesterday, Previous week, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Last 1, 3, 5 years, Entire history options supported. For "Fixed dates" date range is set with "Fixed dates: start date", "Fixed dates: end date" inputs. For "Fixed range" date range is set with "Fixed range: days back", "Fixed range: days forward" inputs.
It will display events for required date range, but it can navigate only if chart data are available in the terminal. "Chart data preload" allows downloading deep price history from broker server. If "Chart data preload" is allowed then 1-minute history will be checked and if necessary downloaded at program start. This downloading is limited with mt5 "Max bars in chart" option. Change it (Tools >> Options >> Charts >> Max bars in chart) and reboot mt5 if you would like to explore deep history.
Country, currency filter, Country list
- Chart & USD: for GBPJPY it will display GBP, JPY, USD events.
- Chart: for GBPJPY it will display GBP, JPY events.
- USD: only USD events will be displayed.
- EUR displays events for EU, Eurozone, Germany, France, Spain, Italy.
- Majors: EUR USD AUD CAD CNY JPY NZD CHF GBP.
- Chart & Majors: EUR USD AUD CAD CNY JPY NZD CHF GBP along with 2 chart currencies will be displayed.
- All countries will display everything: ALL (Worldwide) EUR USD AUD CAD CNY JPY NZD CHF GBP BRL HKD INR MXN NOK SGD ZAR KRW SEK.
- Extra countries only: no predefined set of countries/currencies used, countries are set explicitly with "Extra country 1, 2, 3, 4, 5" settings.
Search by title using "Query 1, 2, 3, 4, 5" inputs. Use asterix (*) at the start and the end of the search as a wildcard.
"Revisable events". Some of events are subject to revision, and each revision is displayed as separate event. While all events are displayed by default, flash estimates are typically more market-moving, and you may consider to display only those first events.
Importance filter. "Show high/medium/low impact events", "Show holidays" inputs allow to set whether to display corresponding events or not.
Broker timezone settings. "Starting date for current settings" sets the date when broker changed server timezone from past to current settings. Past settings are set with "Past settings: winter/winter offset from current, hours" and "Past settings: winter/summer time change schedule", and current settings are set with "Current winter/summer time change schedule". Defaults are correct for most brokers at least since 2015.
