EURUSD Market Outlook - 5 Dec 2017

Currently EURUSD is outside the rising wedge pattern we have outlined in our last post. The direction is not too clear though. EURUSD made around 30 pips down when it was first broke. Then it made 30 pips up now after. Since it is approaching to the wedge pattern again, it is recommended to watch out its reaction around the line we have circled in our screenshot. The analysis was made from the help of our Price breakout pattern scanner and harmonic pattern plus.

MetaTrader 5 Hedging Account VS Netting Account

For many MetaTrader 5 users, they do not realize that MetaTrader 5 have two different mode of running. One is hedging account and the other mode is netting mode. In fact, the orders and positions in MetaTrader 5 hedging account is identical to those in the MetaTrader 4. For example, in MetaTrader 5 hedging account, you can open buy and sell order for the same currency pairs. In MetaTrader 4 netting account, you can not open buy and sell order for the same currency pairs at the same time. You can only open buy or sell at one time. For example, if you open 1.0 lot of EURUSD buy position and if you send sell order for EURUSD 1.0 lot, then the your broker will close 1.0 buy position to account for your 1.0 sell position in your account. In hedging account, you can keep both buy and sell order for EURUSD. Also in netting mode you can not open several buy or sell positions because you will just have one floating position per currency pairs. I know it can be little confusing. However, the simplest way to think is that MetaTrader 5 hedging account is just same as MetaTrader 4 in terms of your order management. In MetaTrader 5 demo account, you can choose which one to use by tick on the box between hedging and netting account. See the attached screenshot.

GBPUSD Market Outlook - 3 Nov 2017

GBPUSD is climbing up the wedge pattern for several months. In last September and October, GBPUSD was under the strong influence of the 5-0 pattern making a corrective movement against the upwards trend. In November, GBPUSD made a stiff upward movement towards the top of the wedge pattern again. GBPUSD have not touched the wall yet but it is just 60 pips away from the top wall of the wedge. Currently BAT pattern have been formed making a first down candle. However, we are not entirely sure if there is still some rooms for GBPUSD to move towards the top of wedge pattern. Especially we should carefully watch out the potential retesting of 1.3650 level again which can coincide with the top wall of the wedge pattern in the future.

Order and Risk Management for Harmonic pattern Trading - Variation 2

Another variation of market order scheme for harmonic pattern trading is using the Fibonacci retracement ratio between point C and D for your take profit target. In this setup, you will measure take profit target from the actual point D from your chart. Your take profit target is no longer related to median open price. Except that, everything else is the same as previous market order scheme. For example, you will measure your stop loss from the median open price as before. In this alternative market order scheme, you are no longer able to calculate your minimum Reward/Risk ratio using the take profit and stop loss ratios. To calculate your minimum Reward/Risk ratio you have to measure the pip distance of your take profit and stop loss targets from median open price. To calculate the actual Reward/Risk ratio you have to measure the pip distance of your take profit target and stop loss target from the actual open price at the order execution. You are not able to use half median open price, quarter median open price to get some idea of your potential reward/risk ratio. This trading setup can take few extra steps to calculate your Reward/Risk ratio. However, this is good market order scheme for your harmonic pattern trading.

Five Regularities in the Financial Markets

Here is the complete price pattern table for trading and investment. You can use this Price Pattern Table to identify the existing regularities in the financial market and to develop right trading tools and strategy to capture those regularities. Trader should understand these five important regularities before their trading. They would save you a lot of money. In addition, each technical analysis tool and technical indicator are designed to deal with each regularity in their first assumption. For example, moving average or MACD or many smoothing algorithm based indicators are developed to deal with first regularity in the financial market. Many oscillators like RSI, CCI and etc can deal with second, third and fourth regularities up to some extents although they may not beat the scientific cycle extraction techniques. The simple method to deal with fifth regularities include peak trough analysis tools, zig zag, support and resistance, Fibonacci retracement analysis, etc. More advanced method to deal with fifth regularities include Harmonic pattern trading, price breakout pattern trading, Elliott Wave Theory, Supply Demand zone trading, etc.

One important question might arise. Why one tool or one indicator can not be used to deal with all five regularities at the same time ? To answer this, check the number of cycles in each regularities. Right, each regularity made up from different number of cycles and each technical indicator are designed to deal with the specific number of cycles or specific period of cycles. For example, you can find many technical indicators with the indicator period input (For example, RSI 13 or CCI 13) , the technical indicator are best designed to deal with the cycle of that period.

EURUSD Market Outlook -30 Nov 2017

In regards to our last analysis, EURUSD made some upwards movement along the wedge pattern. It is moving slowly and currently up by around 30 pips. Ironically EURUSD have reached the lower bottom of Pattern Completion Interval for the small 5-0 pattern. Currently EURUSD just departed the median open price of the small 5-0 pattern. Do not forget to press "Lock" button to keep the pattern in your chart permanently in your harmonic pattern plus.

EURUSD Market Outlook 2 - 29 Nov 2017

Earlier today, EURUSD made a reveral during asian session. During the reversal, EURUSD made another counter movment against earlier 35 pips gain this morning. Currently EURUSD was stoppted at sensible place making the rising wedge pattern. It is too early to say its effectivness of the pattern yet since EURUSD is staying at the bottom without too much upwards movement. But still it is important to watch out further action of EURSUD in regards to this pattern.
