Grid Hero - The secret within...
If you have been using Grid Hero, you should have noticed that your today's balance is always more than yesterday's (if not the same).
Basically your account balance will never be lesser, it will always be increasing...that is how Grid Hero works.

THE KEY LIES WITH THE USE OF MARGIN...
Be it a human or a robot, nobody can be always right when predicting the market's direction.
So when your trades go south, a normal trader or a normal EA will usually take the losses with a Stop Loss, realizing your negative positions into real losses.
Grid Hero do this differently by making use of the available margin with an averaging technique to recover negative positions into profits.
So instead of taking losses by means of SL which is what a normal EA would do, Grid Hero taps into your margin to average out all your positions in the form of a basket.
And then it always closes the whole basket with profit using its core averaging algorithm.
A closed basket usually contains a mix of loss and profit trades, but the main point is that the net PnL of the basket is always positive - this is how Grid Hero's averaging technique works.
And when a basket is closed, ALL trades will be closed, so as to minimize the duration of floating trades as much as possible.
This is how Grid Hero 'recover' your negative trades into a positive net outcome, without taking any net losses.

Grid Basket = Higher Profits
Yes, more Grid orders naturally translates to higher risk, but it also means higher potential of getting greater profits.
When you have a Grid basket being closed out, more often than not you will get greater amount of profits compared to single order scalping.
Of course there will be instances when a Grid basket is being closed with a small profit, but at least the good thing is that all your trades are recovered without any net losses.
And yes, when a Grid basket is closed by Grid Hero you will never take any net losses, at the very least you will get a small profit out of it.
Which is why your balance amount will always be growing, and in another word: today's balance is always more than yesterday's if not the same.
And when your grid basket is building up, these are the opportunities where greater profits can be earned.
Don't be too obsessed or bothered with the process as constantly looking at trades or chart can be a very frustrating thing.
Just let Grid Hero take control and manage everything for you while you sit back and relax.

Daylight Saving Time Change For US Session on Sunday 5th November...
You should have received an email from your broker by now on the Daylight Saving Time Change for US Session on Sunday 5th November.
Please note that you DO NOT NEED to make any changes in Grid Hero settings unless you are using News Filter.
If you are using News Filter, please make sure to change the "Broker's GMT Offset" value to the Winter offset value under the News Filter settings in the EA.
For most brokers, the Winter offset value is usually "2". But please do check with your broker to confirm if you are unsure.
And just a reminder again, News Filter is not required for Grid Hero's current version, as the core algorithm has been enhanced to perform better without News Filter.
All the back tests are conducted without News Filter, and as you can see from the back test results, you don't need News Filter at all.
Hence I recommend to leave News Filter as disabled.
Again, if you are not using News Filter, there is NO NEED to make any changes.

You should have received an email from your broker by now on the Daylight Saving Time Change for US Session on Sunday 5th November.
Please note that you DO NOT NEED to make any changes in Grid Hero settings unless you are using News Filter.
If you are using News Filter, please make sure to change the "Broker's GMT Offset" value to the Winter offset value under the News Filter settings in the EA.
For most brokers, the Winter offset value is usually "2". But please do check with your broker to confirm if you are unsure.
And just a reminder again, News Filter is not required for Grid Hero's current version, as the core algorithm has been enhanced to perform better without News Filter.
All the back tests are conducted without News Filter, and as you can see from the back test results, you don't need News Filter at all.
Hence I recommend to leave News Filter as disabled.

If you have been using Grid Hero, you should have noticed that your today's balance is always more than yesterday's (if not the same).
Basically your account balance will never be lesser, it will always be increasing...that is how Grid Hero works.

THE KEY LIES WITH THE USE OF MARGIN...
Be it a human or a robot, nobody can be always right when predicting the market's direction.
So when your trades go south, a normal trader or a normal EA will usually take the losses with a Stop Loss, realizing your negative positions into real losses.
Grid Hero do this differently by making use of the available margin with an averaging technique to recover negative positions into profits.
So instead of taking losses by means of SL which is what a normal EA would do, Grid Hero taps into your margin to average out all your positions in the form of a basket.
And then it always closes the whole basket with profit using its core averaging algorithm.
A closed basket usually contains a mix of loss and profit trades, but the main point is that the net PnL of the basket is always positive - this is how Grid Hero's averaging technique works.
And when a basket is closed, ALL trades will be closed, so as to minimize the duration of floating trades as much as possible.
This is how Grid Hero 'recover' your negative trades into a positive net outcome, without taking any net losses.
