Version 9.1 Auto Lot Set files
If you chose to upgrade to Version 9.1, please download the Version 9.1 Auto Lot Set files from the Comments section or FAQ (do not use Version 9.0 Set).
Remember, it is NOT necessary to upgrade to Version 9.1 if you've no intention of changing the values of the above mentioned 3 parameters.
And just to remind everybody again that my recommendation is to use the default EA settings. Manually changing any settings is not recommended and is at your own risk.

Grid Hero Version 9.1 has just been published...
Version 9.1 has been published and is available for download. Please note that Version 9.1 is OPTIONAL.
As I've explained earlier, the only changes in Version 9.1 is that the following 3 parameters are being made visible to users in the EA menu because they were hidden in Version 9.0:
- Grid Step (in pips)
- First Order Pips Profit (in pips)
- Grid Basket Minimum Pips Profit (in pips)
There is no difference in the trading algorithm between Version 9.1 & Version 9.0, hence you can actually choose NOT to upgrade.

EURUSD Outlook for December 2017...
Zooming out over longer term on the Monthly time frame, EURUSD has been on a bull run since the start of year Jan 2017.
It has already broken above the the 2016 high in May (@1.1616) as well as the 2015 high in August (@1.1713).
Strategists have also foresee that it might reach 1.20 through year end assuming the bull run continues in December.
However do bear in mind the danger that lurks nearing the close of year period when traders start closing out their opened trades in wrapping up for the year.
Considering the pretty strong bull run this year, it is quite likely that swing traders will start exiting their long positions in December, taking profit before the close of year.
And with the accumulation of long positions since the start of year, the phenomenon of selling the massive long positions in unison will likely cause a temporary dip in price nearing the end of December.
This dip will probably be a hefty retracememt for the EURUSD, which also exhibits the volume of profit taken by traders out of closing their long positions especially for the pure swing traders.
As such it is best to avoid the year end period and stay out of the market to avoid such phenomenon, because you will never know what magnitude of erratic behavior this will bring along.
My practice is that I will usually stop all my EAs and all trading activities 1 or 2 weeks before the 31st December and stay out of the market during this uncertain period.
I will announce here in this Comments section when I think its time that I stop all trading, so you can assess and decide for yourself if you want to follow suit.
Always remember the golden rule in Forex, when there is no reason to trade or when there is a reason not to trade, don't trade.
By staying out of the market during uncertain times is NOT stagnating, in fact it is a form of good Capital Preservation proficiency that separates the skillful from the amateur.

3) Select Model: "Every Tick"
4) For Spread: Set "15" (points) for standard MT4 tester, or set "Variable" if you're using Birt's Tick Data Suite
5) Under Expert Properties >> Testing tab, set "Initial Deposit" to $3000 USD (minimum recommended amount)
6) Use default EA settings for Conservative Risk performance (Auto Lot Sizing disabled)
7) Or enable Auto Lot Sizing by applying the Auto Lot Set files according to your risk appetite (Auto Lot Risk Levels: Standard/Medium/High). You can download the Set files from the "Comments" section or FAQ.
8) Start your Back Test as far back as from 2004 if you wish

- Use default EA setting, or apply the Auto Lot Set files (if you wish to enable Auto Lot Sizing feature).
- Do not manually adjust the Lot Size values in the EA as it will have adverse effect on the overall strategy.
- If you're running Grid Hero on a large account and wish to tune up the lot sizes, apply the Auto Lot Set file.
- Let Grid Hero do its work, no need to intervene under normal circumstances.
- The only time that you need manual intervention is when there is major event for example: election, or Grexit/Brexit alike event.
- When manual intervention is needed, do keep a look out on Grid Hero Comments section as I will post to let you know when there is a need.

EURUSD Outlook for December 2017...
Zooming out over longer term on the Monthly time frame, EURUSD has been on a bull run since the start of year Jan 2017.
It has already broken above the the 2016 high in May (@1.1616) as well as the 2015 high in August (@1.1713).
Strategists have also foresee that it might reach 1.20 through year end assuming the bull run continues in December.
However do bear in mind the danger that lurks nearing the close of year period when traders start closing out their opened trades in wrapping up for the year.
Considering the pretty strong bull run this year, it is quite likely that swing traders will start exiting their long positions in December, taking profit before the close of year.
And with the accumulation of long positions since the start of year, the phenomenon of selling the massive long positions in unison will likely cause a temporary dip in price nearing the end of December.
This dip will probably be a hefty retracememt for the EURUSD, which also exhibits the volume of profit taken by traders out of closing their long positions especially for the pure swing traders.
As such it is best to avoid the year end period and stay out of the market to avoid such phenomenon, because you will never know what magnitude of erratic behavior this will bring along.
My practice is that I will usually stop all my EAs and all trading activities 1 or 2 weeks before the 31st December and stay out of the market during this uncertain period.
I will announce here in this Comments section when I think its time that I stop all trading, so you can assess and decide for yourself if you want to follow suit.
Always remember the golden rule in Forex, when there is no reason to trade or when there is a reason not to trade, don't trade.
By staying out of the market during uncertain times is NOT stagnating, in fact it is a form of good Capital Preservation proficiency that separates the skillful from the amateur.

Grid Hero EA Back Test Instructions:
1) Select Symbol: "EURUSD"
2) Select Period: "H1"
3) Select Model: "Every Tick"
4) For Spread: Set "15" (points) for standard MT4 tester, or set "Variable" if you're using Birt's Tick Data Suite
5) Under Expert Properties >> Testing tab, set "Initial Deposit" to $3000 USD (minimum recommended amount)
6) Use default EA settings for Conservative Risk performance (Auto Lot Sizing disabled)
7) Or enable Auto Lot Sizing by applying the Auto Lot Set files according to your risk appetite (Auto Lot Risk Levels: Standard/Medium/High). You can download the Set files from the "Comments" section or FAQ.
8) Start your Back Test as far back as from 2004 if you wish
Grid Hero EA Live Usage Instructions:
1) Simply drag and drop Grid Hero EA onto the EURUSD H1 chart
2) In the EA menu, input your broker's GMT Offset value for Winter (check with your broker if you're unsure)*
3) Leave all other EA settings as default. Or Enable Auto Lot Sizing by applying the attached Standard/Medium/High Risk Set file
*Note: The default value of the GMT Offset for Winter is set to 2 in the EA, which matches most brokers.
